Urrrgh. I don't feel well. Why am I so cold? What happened? Why do I feel like there's something in my shoulder? I tried to stand, but then realized I WAS standing. I opened my eyes. Everything was blurry, and my ears were ringing. Suddenly, the ringing stopped and the scene in front of me became clearer. There was a redheaded boy wearing a dress suit, and a lovely-but strangely familiar-girl in a cream-colored wedding dress. This was no wedding like I've ever seen, though.There was no preacher, but an altar covered in bottles with heavy scents and a candle. The girl and boy looked at me, blue and brown eyes. But as soon as I saw her eyes, everything came back to me.
"Renesmee! Nessie, look at me! That's Mark!" I yelled. Why isn't she terrified? I struggled, but the chains around me suddenly grew tighter.
Renesmee spoke. "I know this is Mark. And you're Jacob Black, the most filthy, cruel, ridiculous, dog I thought I was in upendo with before I saw Mark." Then she looked at Mark with adoring eyes, and then I realized that her pupils didn't change to focus the light. She was in a trance. Mark looked at me wickedly. I struggled some more, only to feel pain as the chains grew tighter.
"Don't even think of breaking loose. Those chains will just grow tighter until wewe suffocate. And don't try to phase, either, au yoou'll be cut in half." He laughed and kissed my Renesmee. I screamed and struggled again. Pain seared through my ribs. Tears were spilling like mad down my cheeks. The ceremony began. Mark alisema something in Latin, and I could only make out a few words, thanks to lessons from Bella. "Soul...Body...Not...Wed?"
"I object! Renesmee, listen to me! He's put a spell on you! wewe don't upendo him; wewe upendo me! Look in my eyes and tell me wewe don't upendo me!" I screamed because the chains squeezed more. Renesmee looked ready to do just that, but as soon as she looked in my eyes, her pupils changed shape and she blinked. She shook her head, like she relived a bad memory, and then looked again. "I don't upendo you, Jacob Black." she alisema in a sure tone. I screamed, but this time, I'd rather it were the chains that did it. My moyo felt like it was slowly ripping apart, like 10x a band-aid from skin. 1,000,000x. She blinked again, and a tear spilled down her cheek.
"Oh, Jacob, I didn't-" she cried.
"Are wewe mad, girl, love? wewe don't upendo him, wewe alisema so yourself!" interrupted Mark. He brought her back into her trance. "Now, on with the wedding." He continued, but used unfamiliar words, so my only guess is that he was using witchcraft. He rubbed an ointment over Renesmee's left wrist and his. He took blood from her finger and used the same kisu on his, and dripped the mixed blood on the candle, which's flame grew stronger. He tipped the candle upside-down, putting dripping wax on their wrists. All the meanwhile I was screaming Renesmee's name, over and over again. He was about to put the seventh drop on her inner wrist, to finish the ceremony, when he screamed. He dropped Renesmee's hand, which made her gasp in pain and fall to the ground. I saw eight, pale figures run towards the altar, the smallest stopping at the mti I was tied against. One small tug, and Alice freed me. Mark was still screaming as Edward lept towards him. I started to lose consiousness from the chains. I fell to the ground. Before everything went dark, I heard Mark's final scream cut off, and felt a small hand, burning at the wrist, touch my cheek.
