Wanyonya damu Protest Bankers in Frankfurt, Germany – Even Wanyonya damu are angry about the recession! In Frankfurt, Germany, Wanyonya damu on stilts, –yes, stilts, –help picket signs and hollered angrily at bankers arriving for Euro Finance Week. The vampires’ signs read “First lesson for today: Lehman losers need repay”, in reference to the fall of the Lehman Brothers bank. Why the protesters were dressed as Wanyonya damu is anyone’s guess, –but why they were pissed off? Pretty obvious.
Stephenie Meyer Burnt Out on Wanyonya damu – Stephenie Meyer is done with vampires, and claims that there won’t be a fifth installment of the Twilight saga. Well, there -is- in fact a fifth novel, however, the scoop behind that is, that someone released her first draft on the Internet. The novel was supposed to be a look at the events through the eyes of Edward Cullen. The novel was never finished. After the vampire hype, Meyer admits she’s “burnt out” and now wants to tackle aliens instead. I haven’t yet read The Host, –but it sounds interesting, Meyer claimed she may be turning it into a trilogy. Cheers for Stephenie’s foray into sci-fi, –will it turn out to be as big as Twilight?
Christian: The Movie – Yep, a movie about a Christian guy killing vampires. Er, well, actually, about a priest who is a vampire hunter kwa night. And of course, he’s stalking Dracula; the film is set to come out in 2010. I can’t say I’m in the mood to see one zaidi of the gazillion Dracula knock-offs, so it’s probably going to take some pushing and shoving to get this writer into the mood for zaidi Dracula. Especially after all this nonsense about a sequel to Bram Stoker’s Dracula, –written kwa a descendant of Bram. I hope Bram haunts the hell out of this guy.
Miley Cyrus Hates Wanyonya damu – There’s a surprise. A teenage girl who doesn’t like vampires, –maybe it’s because Miley Cyrus isn’t as maarufu now that the vamps have stolen the center stage. Not that her muziki isn’t tolerable, –just that it’s not exactly the show-stealer it once was. Sorry Miley, no matter how much wewe hate vampires, they’re still a lot zaidi interesting than watching Billy Ray’s haphazardly dressed daughter imba about all her worldly life experience. I’m sure you’ll feel better after a few hours of dedicated sifting through the local thrift store’s 99 cent clothing box.
