Now, what do wewe get when wewe have a protagonist who has odd morals, au a dark history, yet tries to justify his actions? Well, a real badass… oh, and an anti-hero. Now, in order to be an anti-hero, it needs to be a protagonist that has to do bad, but is doing it for the sake of good. Also, these are from games that I have played. So, no Kratos from God of War. With that, lets start the list



#10: Wario from Super Mario Bros - Now, what better way to start then one of the original gaming anti-heroes. Wario is a fat, greedy man who wants nothing zaidi than to be rich as hell, and he’ll do whatever he can to make that dream come true, whether it's stealing Mario’s castle, au invading a dangerous pyramid. Now, even though he is saving people from evil, he isn’t doing it for their sake. He’s only out for money, and nothing else. Not to mention, he wants to win all the time. In most of the Mario Tennis, and Mario Golf games, Wario, along with his… brother, I think, Waluigi, they are always wanting to beat the Mario Brothers at their own game. However, they always seem to fail miserably. So, Wario, you’re fat. You’re greedy. wewe probably smell as bad as wewe look. And yet, you’re amazing.



#9: Agent 47 from Hitman: Absolution - Now, how can wewe make an anti-hero out of an assassin… well, actually, there are quite a few entries on this orodha of anti-heroes who are assassins. So, get used to that. Now, Agent 47 is a cold blooded killer, and a genetically made clone, who was designed to be the ultimate killing machine. However, he shows his true feelings in Hitman: Absolution. After assassinating his close friend, he promises he will look after a young girl named Victoria, who later gets kidnapped, and he does everything he can to try and find her, proving how far he will go to keep his promise. Sure, he may be a cold blooded killer, but at least he justifies it with… well, zaidi murder…. Shut Up!



#8: Travis Touchdown from No zaidi Heroes - Now, when wewe think of a guy who is hired to kill people, wewe think of a quiet and cool guy who easily gets the job done. Well, Travis is the exact opposite of that. He is a complete dork who lives in an apartment, watches anime and wrestling tapes, spent all of his rent money on a beam katana online, rents Japanese porn, always shouts the names of sweets when he decapitates people, and in the first game, he only wants to be Rank 1 so he can get laid. I’m not kidding. This guy is so much of a loser, he will kill hundreds of people just to lose his virginity. However, his true self shows in No zaidi Heroes 2, where is is now out for revenge after the games antagonist murders his friend, Bishop. As he kills doesn’t of assassins, he then sees how murder is bad, even when it involves assassins. It only takes the battle and death of the Rank 2 assassin, Alice Twilight, for him to finally see why killing people is wrong. This is such a great moral, and it shows off a real great character. I mean, how could he not be on the list



WARNING - SPOILERS FOR PHOENIX WRIGHT: TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS
#7: Godot from Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations - Now, this guy has to be one of my inayopendelewa characters in the franchise. Before he was a prosecutor, Godot was actually a defense attorney named Diego Armando, who was the lover and co-worker of Phoenix Wright’s mentor, Mia Fey. While he was with Mia during a trial for her client, Terry Fawles, he was there kwa her side the whole time. However, during the case, Terry killed himself in the courtroom, causing Diego to have a new outlook on his clients. He then tried to investigate this case more, which soon lead to him being poisoned and then put into a coma. Five years later, he woke up, but soon realized that Mia was dead, and he put the blame of Phoenix for not saving her. After that, he became a prosecutor to try and see if Phoenix was really the man he thought he was. And, in Case 5, Phoenix is trying to figure out who killed Misty Fey, the mother of Maya Fey, Mia’s sister and Phoenix’s close friend. It is then revealed that Godot killed her, but only because she was channeling an evil spirit that wanted to kill Maya, and he killed Misty Fey, as he and her planned to do, to save Maya. Godot is able to be the only character in the series to actually justify the act of murder, and that isn’t easy. He is cool, calm, and one of the greatest characters in the Ace Attorney franchise.



#6: Conker from Conker’s Bad fur, manyoya siku - Have wewe ever heard the term, “Looks can be deceiving”? Well, that’s Conker in a nutshell. He may look like an adorable squirrel, but he is actually a greedy alcoholic jerk, who’s only goal is just trying to get nyumbani after drinking, which leads him on a crazy adventure through the world of…. I’m not sure, they didn’t give this place a name. ANYWAY, his adventures lead him to smacking keys around with a pan, shooting down bees, feeding catfish to dogfish, letting mice get crushed kwa rocks, having a boss fight with a giant pile of literal shit, and a whole bunch of movie references. IT’S FUCKING NUTS! … Get it, nuts… because he’s a squirrel… SHUT UP! Anyway, Conker has to be one of the funniest, as well as one of the most wonderful of anti-heroes.



#5: Shadow from Sonic the Hedgehog - Oh, I can feel everyone wanting to yell at me “Why is Shadow only #5”? Well, the thing is, I have not played many Sonic games. I have only played Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, the only Sonic game I have with him in it, so, sorry. But, he is still awesome. Shadow was saved from death as everyone on the Space Colony was dying, including Shadow’s… friend, owner, I’m not sure… her name was Maria. Anyway, she saved him from death and sent him to Earth to help the people there. However, once he lands on Earth, he loses all his memory, and is found kwa Eggman, causing him to believe that he is the “Ultimate Lifeform” and wants to help Eggman with his plans. It only takes some time for him to find out his true purpose, but only when the entire Earth is going to be destroyed kwa The Final Hazard. After this, he teams up with Sonic and helps him defeat the Final Hazard. After it is defeated, Shadow falls to Earth and dies… even though he comes back in the other games, but that’s not the point. Shadow is an amazing character, and I just hope Sega stops pulling that amnesia crap. It’s been done before (Yeah, Shadow the Hedgehog for Gamecube. I mean you).



#4: Ezio Auditore Da Firenze from Assassin’s Creed - Now, this is where it gets hard to make this list, as there were plenty of characters I could have chosen. But, I had to go with these guys, and Ezio is one amazing anti-hero. Even though he is an assassin, he still has a heart. Sure, he may have been kind of a jerk in the first game, but I wanna talk about the sekunde game. After his family get killed, he goes and hunts down the man who killed his family. And he does everything in his power to do it. However, once he finally finds the man who did it, he actually lets him live. That just shows that Ezio actually can forgive anyone, even someone who has killed his whole family. Seriously, tell me, HOW COULD HE NOT MAKE THE LIST!!!



#3: Niko Bellic from Grand Theft Auto IV - Now, this was a lot easier than wewe think. Every other main character in the series is a criminal in some way. CJ from San Andreas is a gang member, Tommy from Vice City is a drug dealer, and all the guys from GTA 5 are professional bank robbers. The closest Rockstar ever got to a good guy in these games is Niko. He may have done a lot of bad things in his old country, but he moves to America in hopes of changing all that, as well as meeting his cousin, Roman. However, once he gets there, he gets roped into Roman’s mistakes, which goes from fighting loan sharks to doing jobs for multiple crime families. Niko never really wants to do any of these crimes. He just wants to live a normal life. That is what makes Nico such a likable character. Why can’t zaidi GTA characters be like him?



WARNING: SPOILERS FOR THE LAST OF US
#2: Joel from The Last of Us - Now, I only recently finished this game, and, I can safely say that OH MY GOD, THIS GAME IS AMAZING!!! Now, with that out of the way, Joel is probably one of the best guys to have around in a zombie outbreak. After he loses his daughter to the infection, he is forced to survive on his own, until he meets this one girl named Ellie, who he has stay with her, and soon they both bond with each other. Soon, however, Ellie is taken kwa the group known as the Fireflies, where they say she holds to cure to the disease and can fix all of this. However, Joel saves Ellie from death, but it results in him damning the world for the rest of eternity. wewe can’t tell if saving Ellie was a good thing Joel did au a bad thing. That is what makes him a great anti-hero. His actions are not good, but not bad either, and it is hard to decide if he did the right thing. That is why Joel is such a great anti-hero. But, only one managed to make the #1 spot.



WARNING: SPOILERS FOR… WELL, YOU’LL FIND OUT
#1: John Marston from Red Dead Redemption - Now, this guy just had to make number one. It wasn’t easy to decide if it would be him, au Joel, but, in the end, I had to choose John Marston. After running with a gang for a long time, and getting badly injured, he was abandoned kwa his gang and left to die. But, he survived, and left the gang with his wife, Abigail, so he could live a better life. However, years later, he is forced kwa government officials to go and hunt down the members of his old gang. John then travels all across the west to find the members of Dutch’s Gang, only doing it for his family, and having to meet some of the worst possible people in order to help him find them. And, even after he finally finishes his job, he finally goes back to his family, only to be attacked kwa government officials shortly after. What makes him the best anti-hero is this part here. After he lets Abigail and Jack escape, he then walks out and fights the U.S Army himself, but is gunned down and killed. This is what put him at the number one spot. He knew he wasn’t going to survive, and he knew that he couldn’t run away, because the U.S. Army would just keep following him. So, he gave up his own life in order to save his families. This is the true sign of a well written character, and that is why he is number one.
