"Detention!" the teacher yelled. siku shrugged her shoulders staring at the teacher. "Is for students who misbehave in class and are hooligans to this school! This is your punishment!" Mrs.Hills yelled. Several students sat among the empty desks. A maarufu who was late for class because she was doing her make-up. A idiot and his little gang of Marafiki who set cherry bomb fireworks off in the bathrooms. A few other punks who got into fights, and Day. Who talked back to a teacher, slept in class, and drew out their on timely deaths. She was on a roll.

"Because your here your all going to fail in life" she sneered again. siku raised her hand. "yes?" Mrs. Hills snapped. "Does that mean wewe got detention too Mrs. Hills?" she asked. Mrs. Hills went red and the kids burst into laughter. "Day that's rude!" Mrs. Hills tried to contain herself. "But Mrs. Hills I'm just fallowing your example after all everyone wants to be just like you!" siku mocked in a high pitched voice hands clamped together inayofuata to her head. "Detention!" she yelled. "I'm already in detention" siku blinked. Mrs. Hills was flustered and stormed out of the room. "Nice" one of the cherry bombers gave her a thumbs up.

"Mr. Smith do wewe know where my sister is?" Caleb poked his head in. "Hm? Oh hello Caleb" Mr. Smith looked up. "hello" he nodded. "Your sister is siku right?" he smiled at him. "Yeah she is" he nodded. "Have a kiti, kiti cha Caleb we need to have a talk" Mr. Smith gestured to the seats. Caleb looked confused but complied. "what do we need to talk about?" he leaned forward. "Caleb is there problems going on at home?" Mr. Smith asked. "No we're fine" Caleb answered. "hm inserting wewe see Caleb, siku has been uigizaji out lately" he sighed. "She has been talking back to teachers, she has been into fights with other students, she even fell asleep today in class" Mr. Smith looked at the teenager.

"Falling asleep may be my fault. I made her study for a test and she may have been up last night listening in on my phone call. wewe see our dad doesn't live with us. He called last night and we got into a bit of a scuffle over the phone" Caleb sighed. "Ah well this is the first time she's slept in class but this how ever is what mainly got her in trouble today" he held out a folded sheet of paper. "Did she draw this?" Caleb stared. Each small person was labeled with her teacher's names and their deaths. "Yes another student reported it I want to be sure is it Day's?" Mr. Smith looked at him. "Yes this is her hand writing" Caleb shook his head.

"Mr. Smith!" a high pitched voice yelled. The older woman strut into the room. "Caleb this is Mrs. Hill" the principal waved. "hello" Caleb smiled. Mrs. kilima smiled back before frowning "That girl is out of control! Something must be done!" she hissed. "I am Mrs. Hill, this is her older brother and guardian Caleb" he waved to the teenager. "Don't worry Mrs. kilima my sister will suffer the consequences of her actions" Caleb smiled. "I hope so boy!" and then she strutted away.

"She really doesn't like siku does she?" Caleb turned. "No she doesn't siku likes to aggravate her the most" Mr. Smith shook his head. "Well Detention will be getting out now so-" he was cut off. "Wait my sister got detention!" Caleb blinked. "yes" he nodded. "she is going to be in so much trouble for how long does she have it?" Caleb turned around. "The week" Mr. Smith opened his office door.

"hey Caleb!" siku ran over to her brother. "Get on" he tossed her his helmet. She caught it and slipped it one. She wrapped her arms around her brother as the red motorcycle whipped away. When they got to their (nice) apartment Caleb slapped the paper down on the island in the kitchen. "What's with this!?" he yelled. "It's a drawing" she answered. "Don't play this game with me Day. I come to get wewe from school and I hear that your uigizaji out in class!? And that wewe got DETENTION!" he was out of breath.

"Caleb chill" she waved him off. "No siku this is not something your getting away with. wewe got detention for the entire week until wewe get your act together I'm not taking wewe on patrol" he growled. "WHAT!?" she screeched. "That's right your grounded. wewe get out of detention wewe come straight nyumbani do your homework kuoga and go to bed" he sighed. "You can't do that" she growled. "I can and I just did" Caleb growled.

"Your not mom!" she yelled. "I know that siku but I'm your guardian!" he yelled back. "No one told wewe to take care of me!" she through her bag on the floor. "Someone had to! Stop throwing your stuff siku your not 2 anymore!" he snapped. "I wish wewe weren't my brother!" she stormed towards her room. "I'm talking to wewe siku get back here!" he yelled. The door slammed "GO AWAY AND NEVER COME BACK!" she screamed through the door. He huffed and turned away.

It had been an saa and siku hadn't come out from her room. Getting up he made 2 grilled cheeses and knocked '"Go away Caleb" came the growl. He opened the door and stepped inside. Day's room was painted a light green. A black kitanda tucked into the darker corner, a window across from it, a desk, and a bunch of canvases. siku sat on a kinyesi working. "Hey" he slid into the dawati chair easily.

"What do wewe want?' she growled never taking her eyes off the canvas. "I want to talk" Caleb leaned mbele his elbows on his knees. "We did talk, and that led to screaming, and that led to a fight, that led to my grounding. There's nothing to talk about" siku sighed dipping the paint brush into light blue paint. "Day why do wewe keep getting into trouble?" Caleb rolled his head. "Because everyone at my school deserves it" siku rolled her eyes.

"Day I'm not joking around. They gave wewe detention. Do wewe realize that when dad finds out he's going to blow up?" Caleb pursed his lips together. "Daddies not here right now Caleb, he never is so why should I be afraid of him?" she sneered. "Day" Caleb shrugged. "What?" she turned hurt blazed in her eyes. "what's wrong?" he stared her down. He knew he just did that it didn't matter how old she was she still reminded him of his little sister crying when she was 8.

"Don't leave" she whispered. "I'm not going anywhere Day" he hugged his sister. He looked of the painting. It was of a smaller girl and a little taller boy standing on the nyasi their hands connected and a large blue sky behind them. "Promise?" she whispered. "I promise, will wewe promise to stay out of trouble?' he closed his eyes. "No"
