Becca let out a low whistle as she studied her friend.
“Damn. wewe look.....like wewe might just stop every moyo in the other room.”
The other giggled, a wide grin plastered on her face.
“Thanks. wewe look wonderful.”
Becca made a face.
“I hate dresses. And this style seems too much like what I would wear addressing Queen Kendra. But the color I love.”
Devin smiled.
“I upendo your hair too.”
Becca made another face.
“I want it up. I miss my pigtails.”
“But wewe look so beautiful.”
“So you've said.”
“And so will Tyler.”
Becca stuck her tongue out, but Devin saw the light blush on Becca's cheeks. She was obviously pleased kwa the comment.
“Let me fix your dress.”
Devin stood still while Becca played around with the white dress she wore. The dress was simple, the single skirt, upindo folding in layers. Her hair was down and long. A white maua, ua was behind one ear.
“There. Now it's not funky looking. Not that Fang would mind au even see.”
Devin smiled at Becca's reflection in the mirror. There was a knock on the door and Dick entered the room. Becca walked out at Devin's nod; brother and sister needed a chat.
“Wow. Dev. wewe look amazing.”
Devin beamed at him and he slipped his shades on.
“Too bright!”
Devin laughed and Dick smiled, coming over to hug her.
“How wewe feeling?”
“Ecstatic! Happy! Overjoyed!”
“Good! How's Becca?”
“Ready to go and impress Tyler!”
“Good for her.”
“Why do wewe ask? wewe never talk about her?”
“I had the feeling I had to. So...you're ready?”
“As ever!”
“Okay. I'll let them know.”
“No need,” Becca interrupted. “They're ready.”
Devin nodded, excited. Becca gave her a smile before moving to her place. Dick held out his arm and Devin took it.
“Ready?”
“Have been since the first kiss.”
She stared into his eyes as he repeated the words. Despite how often they were used, Fang alisema them with a passion that made Devin smile zaidi than anything else ever had. She repeated the same words. They looked deeply into each others eyes, half listening to what was being alisema and half dreaming of the future. It didn't seem long before Fang slipped the ring on her finger, looking into her eyes and saying every word like a passionate promise. When she slid the ring onto his finger, she alisema the same words, speaking with upendo and her moyo in her eyes.
And then, quick as that, it was over. Fang leaned over, placing a passionate kiss to her lips. She kissed him back and the feeling almost wiped out the sounds of cheering. Becca and Dawson smiled at each other. Becca mouthed “finally” and Dawson nodded his head several times. Then Becca and Dawson went to stand at the microphone.
“Ladies and gentlemen!” Becca started.
“We are happy to-finally-present to you...”
They smiled and alisema the last phrase in unison.
“Mr. and Mrs. Brendan 'Fang' Adams!”
