Year 2091
She was sitting on her couch, a pint of ice cream on her stomach and a spoon hanging out of her mouth.
“Zack,” the redhead whined, mouth half full. The man walked in. He still didn’t look like he’d aged since the 2020’s. He sat down inayofuata to her.
“What is it?”
“This baby is making me look fat, isn’t it?” The blue eyed man lifted her sweatshirt and kissed her belly, knowing the swali was mainly her hormones going crazy and she was uigizaji a bit goofy.
“You look beautiful honey. No matter what.” Rene smiled and scooped some ice cream, feeding it to her husband. Except it was very sloppy and it ended up getting zaidi on his face than in his mouth, which resulted in a laughing fit between the two of them. Zack sat up and gave her a kiss, the ice cream on his face transferring to hers; and then her got up and went back to what he was doing. The redhead wiped her face with her sleeve as soon as there was a knock on the door.
“I’ll get it,” she yelled as she took a dakika to push herself up off the kitanda and get to the door. When she opened it, a familiar blonde stood in front of her, a wide grin in place.
“Hey Rene. What’s up?” The redhead extended her arms and gave her a hug, which was much harder with her large belly.
“I missed wewe Blade!” she squealed, allowing her inside the apartment. The redhead went back to her indent on the couch, taking the ice cream as well. “What brings wewe here?” Blade sat down across from her, crossing her legs on the couch.
“I can’t come and see my inayopendelewa redhead?” The blonde rubbed the others belly. “How the little baby?”
“She’s not a baby yet,” Rene alisema with a mouth full of ice cream.
“How do wewe know it’s a girl?” The blonde alisema as she swiped the spoon from the sorceress and took a bite of the ice cream.
“Just a feeling.” Blade spit out the ice cream into her hand.
“Why are there pickles in your vanilla ice cream?” The redhead took back the spoon.
“I don’t know. Just a craving. Zack didn’t seem to mind it.”
“That’s probably because he didn’t get a pickle chunk,” she alisema wiping her tongue, resulting in the redhead to laugh uncontrollably. “So, what’s her name going to be?”
“We haven’t decided,” Zack alisema as he entered the room. “I still think it might be a boy.”
“It won’t be a boy.”
“How do wewe know,” he alisema kissing her forehead.
“I just know. But for a girl, I like Julie.”
“Julie’s pretty,” the blonde said. “What about for a boy?”
“James,” the couple alisema at the same time. They looked at each other and shared a kiss.
“Awe! wewe two are so cute!” Zack sat down inayofuata to her on the floor and held her hand. “James and Julie… wewe guys must like the letter J.”
“Well, it seems that there aren’t many names with J. And people don’t use J often.”
“True, true,” Blade agreed. “Still, very cute.” Rene beamed and took another bite of her pickled ice cream, causing a disgusted face on the blonde.
“I can’t help it Blade. My brain thinks it’s delicious!” Zack rolled her eyes and got back up, remembering he had work to do. Rene looked down at her pint, frowning.
“What’s wrong Rene?”
"I don't know if I can do this."
"Do what?"
"Be a mom!" Blade looked at her with a confused look on her face.
"You? wewe are the most maternal person in the world! Do wewe not remember how wewe treated everyone all those years ago? Like they were your child! Even if they got older than you!"
"But, that was then! Before... Stuff happened."
"But that stuff never changed who wewe are inside, and wewe know it." The blonde got up and kissed the redhead on the forehead. "I'll see wewe later, mom to be."
As she walked to the door an opened it, she looked back at Rene.
"And you're going to be a great mom," Blade alisema before she shut the door and left, leaving the sorceress with a smile on her face.
