They kind of do that in the broadway show she says " Im so sorry, I've caused you so much trouble, how can you forgive me?" I still in my mind, since I am a big fan of the show, consider Ursula to be her Aunt in the movie too. I think their should have been a scene where Triton and Ariel apologized to each other and then Triton tells Eric to take care of his daughter or something like that. I've never scene the Broadway play so I don't know about the dance, but I love the dance scene in the town. She kind of helped defeat the villain she was the distraction, but I agree it would have been cool to see her fight more, but I think the battle was pretty good already. Punching Vanessa in the face well I don't know if Disney would get away with that during the 80's. Ariel should have definitely sang in the finale! I usually do not care that much about "Disneyfication" but the Little Mermaid is my favorite fairytale if it counts as one since it is written quite late. Completely fait full is something I would have enjoyed, but I understand if they went for different direction. However some other commotion to the original story like Ariel being in pain while dancing or Ariel´s sisters trying to help her would have been nice in my opinion. posted zaidi ya mwaka mmoja uliopita.
