Humphrey woke up that morning to a shocking but awesome surprise. Winston was at the base, along with Hutch, Kate and Johnny! He ran from his barracks to the gates of the mbwa mwitu base. The first he came to hug was his brother Hutch. Kate opened her arms expecting him o hug her first.
“Hutch, your Words of Wisdom really helped me! Thanks so much brother!”
“Nope problem Humphrey! I upendo wewe too! How did they help?”
“I was saw the flight deck of the plane, and it was so complex. I was in a rush too. Our General was yelling at us and a flashback of wewe came, and it helped. I upendo wewe brother!”
Humphrey approached Kate, “I missed you. When I was in that plane and couldn’t figure it out. I thought I’d never see wewe again at that point!”
“Oh, Humphrey, if something happened to you, I’d commit suicide!”
Humphrey came to Johnny, “Wassup, buddy? Man, wewe should’ve been with me!”
“I wish I was!”
Hutch came to Humphrey, “Can I check out that flight deck wewe were telling me about?”
“Sure, come on.”
The guard stopped Hutch from going in, “Woah, civilians can’t come into the base without the General’s permission.”
“I’m law enforcement,” Hutch showed his badge.
“Ok, come on in.”
Humphrey showed Hutch the dope flight deck, “Woah, how did wewe figure this out?”
“Skills.”
They came back to see Winston with a Field Marshal badge in his paws, “Humphrey, come here, I want to give wewe something.”
The rest of the pack came from nowhere. They all gathered around Humphrey and Winston to form a crowd. The Mbwa mwitu loups at the base also came.
“Warrant Officer Humphrey, wewe are being promoted. wewe will be skipping many ranks.”
“I don’t deserve this. All I do is learn and teach other Mbwa mwitu loups to operate vehicles. Besides, I don’t have the responsibility to be a Colonel, au what ever you’re promoting me to.”
“Today, 29th of February, Warrant Officer Humphrey will be promoted Field Marshal of the WCA. There are five Field Marshals out of all of the Canadian packs, and now Humphrey is one of them, originating from an Omega!”
“It’s a great honor! Thanks to every mbwa mwitu in my pack and at this base!”
Cando approached Humphrey, “Do wewe think I could fly that plane?”
“Later, man! Later!”
Faolan was jealous. He wanted to be Marafiki with Humphrey now though.
“Hey, Humphrey, I know we started off on the wrong track, but do wewe think we could be Marafiki now?”
“Yes, I forgive you.”
“Really?”
“No! Now I get to boss wewe around all I want! I’m a Field Marshal!”
“That’s nice! Life isn’t fair after all.”
Humphrey put his arm around Faolan, “I’m kidding man!”
“That’s a bad joke!”
“I know, sorry.”
“How much work do wewe have know?” Kate asked.
“I don’t know. I know I’ll be paid a lot though.”
“You’re getting something really special tonight!”
“Could we bring the plane with us back to Jasper?” Winston asked the General of the base.
“Our deal was that if Humphrey got the plane, you’d be able to bring it home.”
“We only have 50 seats in the C-5. Some of us will have to ride in the vehicles we put in there. But we will also need four people in the cockpit,” Winston said.
“Humphrey will be up there,” Kate alisema immediately.
“Cando wants to learn to fly, so he’ll be up there,” Humphrey said.
“I’ll be up there too,” Hutch said.
“Anyone else?”
No one answered, “I’ll be up there. We got 73 Mbwa mwitu loups in this giant pack, now we need 19 volunteers to ride in the vehicles in there, such as Cando’s truck, Humphrey’s Armada, my Escalade, a few F-150’s, and some other’s cars.”
Only 12 volunteered, “Come on seven more!” Three zaidi volunteered, “Alright, there will be two couples that have to share seats with their mates.”
The plane was prepared and they would fly the inayofuata day.
