Dustin's POV

I woke up to the morning sun shining in my eyes, I blinked a few times to clear my vision and figured that I had slept in longer then I usually did. My head was still spinning from everything that had happened the awali night. I found it hard to take in that I was a shape shifter and that the myth was true. I didn't want to tell anyone because I knew they wouldn't believe me I also don't know how to control this power. Then it hit me I could go out and practice this new power and not be bothered. I decided I would go to that small lake where I would always sit and think. I walked out of my pango I saw a few Mbwa mwitu loups walking around talking to other Mbwa mwitu loups I decided I would skip breakfast and just leave right away so I could get as much time as possible practicing this power.

When I arrived at the small lake everything was in pure calm it seemed like another life was miles away. I sat kwa the pwani I thought 'Let's see... How did I first shape shift?' I thought in my head 'I recall being angry at Hunter which caused me to shape shift.' 'Is this power only driven kwa anger? No then that won't do any good if I used these powers for good.' I thought 'What if these powers are only for evil purposes? Sure I could use them to get revenge on Hunter and other people who have annoyed and bullied my over the past months, but I would use them for pure evil.' 'But when I shifted back to my regular self I wasn't feeling any anger, maybe if I just think of an animal I'll turn into it.' I thought in my head of a mountain lion and sure enough I felt my body warp and change into a mountain lion. "I figured it out" I alisema to myself 'Alright I want to be Dustin' I thought and my body warped back into normal form. "Wow this is cool" I alisema 'I wonder if I can change into any other mbwa mwitu I know.' I thought of a mbwa mwitu I knew 'I know, I want to be Hutch' And as I thought that my body warped into Hutch's form. I walked over to the pond to see if it worked and it did, I looked just like Hutch "Oh I could have some fun with these powers" I alisema but was shocked to see that my voice was replaced kwa Hutch's. I shifted back to my regular self and decided to head back to the territory. I remembered that I had a hunting competition against Kate today, and I had the perfect plan to win.

Later

I walked out of my pango after waking up from a short nap. It was time for the Hunting competition against Kate and I had the perfect plan to beat her. First I would need to shift into a fast animal that also has lots of strength to take down a caribou. I thought in my head of an animal that I knew of that could meet those standards. I started walking towards the valley where the competition was to be held, still thinking of what animal I could shift into.

It was now midafternoon and the sun was shining bright in the sky, not a wingu in the sky. 'It's such a nice day' I thought to myself. As I descended down into the valley I finally figured out an animal that could run fast as well as have enough strength to take down a caribou. I once heard of this creature when I was only a pup; a mbwa mwitu was once kidnapped and taken to a zoo. He told me that his exhibit was inayofuata to a cheetahs, he alisema that they were a very fast animal with great strength. I decided to take what he told me about this animal and use it to my advantage in this competition.

When I arrived at the bottom of the valley I saw that a few members from the pack had come to watch the competition. I approached the rest of the Mbwa mwitu loups and saw Kate along with Humphrey standing in the middle of them. After They got married Humphrey agreed to be the leader of the pack with Kate helping him. I walked into the middle of the Mbwa mwitu loups and stood inayofuata to Humphrey and Kate.

Humphrey broke the silence "Alright we all know the rules right? There will be no attacking each other au stealing one own kills, Are we clear?" He said

"Yes sir" I said

"Yes" Kate said

Kate and I stood inayofuata to each other and waited for Humphrey to start the count down.

"In Three..." Humphrey started

I kept thinking of a cheetah in my mind so I would shift into one.

"Two..." He continued

I could feel my body start to warp and change into a cheetah

"One... Go" He finished

kwa the time Humphrey alisema Go I had just turned into a cheetah and Kate and I started running. Kate quickly fell behind me; I turned my head around and saw Kate along with all the other Mbwa mwitu loups were wide eyed, probably because they were surprised at what happened to me. I turned my head back around and saw that I was quickly approaching a herd of caribou. I slowed down to just a slow jog, I didn't need to worry about Kate for now so I decided to not waist my energy.

I crouched down downwind of the herd and looked for the biggest caribou I could find. I saw a big male in the center of the herd watching over as the rest ate the grass. 'This is going to be slightly harder than I thought' I thought to myself. I stayed downwind and got closer to the herd. I saw a small gap they had opened I made my was between two caribou without them noticing me. kwa this time I could see the nyasi moving to the right of me, past the caribou. Indicating where Kate was.

I looked ahead of me and saw that the male caribou had its back to me. It was the right moment to strike; I crept my way closer and closer. Suddenly the caribou turned into head and saw me just below him; he turned around and tried to kick me. I quickly jumped up and sank my teeth and claws into its neck. The caribou fell to the ground and died instantly. I sat beside the caribou feeling proud of myself, I shifted back to my normal self and picked up the now dead caribou kwa the neck and dragged it back to where the rest to where Humphrey and the other Mbwa mwitu loups were waiting. Everyone stared in awe as I dragged the massive caribou into the middle of the group where Humphrey sat.

"I believe I win" I said

"Well what about..." He was going to say Kate when she appeared dragging a caribou on her mouth.

Kate dropped the caribou she had in the mouth and stared at me with he mouth open.

"That's right I win" I alisema proud of myself

"How did you..." She stared but I cut her off

"How did I what? Change into a cheetah au take down this caribou?" I said

Everyone including Humphrey where looking right at me wonder what had happened when the competition started.

"I'm guessing you're all wondering how I turned into a cheetah?" I alisema with a smile "Well if wewe really want to know I am what wewe would call a shape shifter."

"But how can that be isn't that a myth?" Kate said

"Ah that's what I thought too but I inhaled this green fog and now I'm a shape shifter." I said

"Prove it!" A mbwa mwitu yelled out of the group

"Okay give me the name of any mbwa mwitu in this pack and I will shift into them." I said

"Okay" Humphrey alisema "Shift into me"

"Okay" I said

I thought of Humphrey in my head and I started to shift into his form. Everyone stared at me, some in awe some in fear. The transformation was complete and I looked just like Humphrey.

"Hello my names Humphrey" I alisema but my voice sounded just like Humphrey's "Is that enough proof for you?"

"I'll say" The real Humphrey said

"Okay, then I guess I win and I'll be heading to my pango now." I alisema walking away as I shifted back into my normal self, leaving everyone confused and shocked.

'I can get used to this' I thought as I walked to my den
