We set the three caribou down where everyone was hanging out, as usual. As the Mbwa mwitu loups started noticing, they came over to eat and I brought one caribou up to the den. Mom, Dad, and Liz were already waiting. "So I see your first hunt came out successful?" my dad asked. "Yeah. We caught three, so everyone's outside eating the other two," I boasted. "Wow, wewe did pretty well. Good job, Cal," Liz said. I beamed.
When I was finished, I went to go hang out with Amy, Keira, and Sam. We were gonna go hang out kwa the river and decide what we were gonna do with our hair at the Moonlight Howl tonight. At the river, Sam was there first, so I sat down kwa her.
"Hey, Calla."
"Hi, Sam. How long have wewe been waiting?"
"Not very long, I just finished eating."
"Me too," I alisema and then Keira walked up. "Hello," she said, and Sam and I both alisema hi simultaneously. We all started laughing, and finally Amy ran up. "Sorry I'm late," she panted. "No problem," Sam said. Keira and I nodded in agreement. "So, what have we thought of so far?" Amy said, sitting down kwa me.
Later on, we had all agreed on doing something different. I decided to wear a red maua, ua in my hair. Keira had chosen on making hair wavy kwa styling it with water. Sam decided to flatten hers with water, because normally it was wavy. Amy decided to brush out her fur, manyoya because she messed around a lot, making her fur, manyoya tangled.
The moon was out and we made our way back up to our dens. I walked up the kilima to mine, and my sister was the first to see me. "You look so pretty! I wish I'd thought of that," she complimented. My mom walked out of the den. "Where are wewe going?" she questioned.
"The Moonlight Howl."
"Are wewe sure, dear?"
"Yes. wewe ready, Liz?" I asked. "Totally," she alisema excitedly. "Fine," my mom said, "but be careful." I nodded and we walked off, making our way up the mountain.
I saw the boys- but for whatever reason, Humphrey wasn't with them- talking and looking at the kilima we were walking up. I looked behind me, and there were two chatty Omegas behind me. "Oh. That makes much zaidi sense. They've gotta be drooling over them." I looked around, wondering where Humphrey was.
I finally found him; he was sitting on one of the rock ledges, staring at the moon. He didn't have a girl with him, either. "Why isn't he with them," I wondered. I looked at Liz and lied, "See wewe later. I'm gonna go talk to someone, ok?" She laughed. "Okay. Have fun," she alisema with a wink.
I trotted up to Humphrey. "Why are wewe up here alone?" I sat down kwa him. He cocked an eyebrow. "Why are you up here with me?" he said, laughing. "What, do the Alphas wanna howl with the Omegas now?" I rolled my eyes, "You want me to leave?" He calmly shook his head. I looked around. "So, wewe can't find a howling partner?" I asked. He sighed, "No. Most of the Omegas are taken. How about you?" I shook my head, "Nope." A smile tugged at the edge of his lips. "Alright, well, since we're both free-"
"No, Humphrey, wewe know I can't.."
"Aw come on. Just this once?" I sighed, "Fine, just this once." He started howling, and I felt like melting. He sounded.. perfect. I had never actually heard him howl before. I listened to us combined as I joined in. Everything sounded amazing. Humphrey had howled the perfect melody.
