Kate and Humphrey adventures.
Mini story 5. Part 1 of 1. “After the fallout.”

After their three siku waiting period, the pack emerged from the airplane hangar. This was the first fresh air they have had in three days and it felt great. A cool breeze brushed through the valley making everyone feel even better. "So what should we do dad?" Kate wondered. "Well, go back to the usual routines I guess. All Will alisema to do is wait in there for three days and then come out." Winston replied. "OK, everyone feel free to do whatever, just try and stay somewhat close to the maarufu spots." Kate announced. Everyone then parted trying to get back to their normal routines. "So when did Will say he would be back so he can explain all of this to us?" Kate asked. "I don't know when, I assume he is coming back now, but I can't be certain." Winston explained. "OK well thanks for the help, I'm going to see what might have happened to my den." Kate added. When she got back to her pango there was nothing even touched, which surprised her. They were put in a hangar for three days and nothing looked any different...

A week later Hutch reported seeing dead plants and trees all over Jasper. "What do wewe mean all the plants are just dying?" Kate barked. "If wewe go out into the woods almost everything is dying." Hutch repeated. "So you're telling me the entire woods is just dying right?" Kate added. "Not all of it, just plants left out in the open." Hutch verified. "OK well keep watching the woods and tell me if it worsens." Kate ordered. "OK, but I didn't tell wewe the worst part." Hutch announced. "What do wewe mean?" Kate wondered. "We have found hundreds of dead wanyama also, from deer to mice." Hutch reported. "My god, well like I alisema if it gets worse tell me." Kate repeated. "OK I will." Hutch concluded.

Several days later hardly any wanyama have been seen alive, and Will still didn't onyesha up to explain everything. Another hundred au so wanyama have been found dead and half of the woods is brown. They finally ran out of the chakula they rationed from the hanger, and no zaidi fresh chakula has been hunted let alone seen. And to make things worse, Mbwa mwitu loups from different packs have been spotted sneaking around on Kate's territory. Several have been killed kwa Kate's guards because they got too close to the dens. And there have been zaidi and zaidi seen every day. Kate has Lost trust of Tony's old pack completely and they have mgawanyiko, baidisha away from hers. Garth didn't want to and neither did Lilly, but they have no choice. If there isn't enough chakula to be rationed among all of them, then they will all die if they stay together.

Now a mwezi has past and Kate got a rude reality alert. The southern pack's leader is starving and wants the chakula from Kate's territory. "Listen I just don't have enough to spare!" Kate responded. "I just saw five bison songesha into your land last night and I haven't seen them since. And somehow your Mbwa mwitu loups are full!" Christine yelled. "We didn't even see them, and we hardly have any food." Kate replied. "You're full of shit; all your alphas look twice as good as mine do. I am the only one who is getting a fair amount of food!" Christine barked. "Hutch, Scar, please escort this pest out of my territory." Kate ordered. "You know what, I have had it with your pack. If wewe don't give us chakula I am going to kill all of you!" Christine threatened. "If wewe step on my territory again I will command my alphas to kill wewe and anyone with you. Now go." Kate forced. Christine was then forcefully escorted out of the territory and into her pack. "She is not going to end it right then and there wewe know?" Winston advised. "Ya I know, I just have to make sure the pack is ready for a fight." Kate replied. "But there is way zaidi of them since Garth formed his own pack." Winston added. "Let's just hope it doesn't happen." Kate sighed.
Chapter 4: Revenge of a King

The rest of the group was hiding in the bushes just outside the pack borders when they heard Humphrey's terrible scream. The worst part was the fact that they couldn't do anything about it.

Back in the den, one of King's henchwolves entered the cave.

"Sir," he said.

King looked up with a furious look on his face.

"I thought I asked for complete privacy!"

"Sorry sir," the mbwa mwitu said. "But there are several Mbwa mwitu loups approaching through the trees."

"Ahh!" King growled in frustration. The mbwa mwitu quickly left the cave so as to avoid his master's fury.

King looked down at Humphrey,...

Chapter 2: Pack Meeting

That night, Humphrey didn't sleep too well. He was continuing to think about his parents and was talking in his sleep as he did so.

"Mom. Dad. No, don't leave. Help!"

Outside the den, Kate and Winston were quietly talking.

"We can't keep it a secret any longer," Winston said...

In 2032, the world turned to atomic fire. The North Furlantic Treaty and the Animal Continental Military Force ended their long, brutal war with an enormous nuclear exchange. Humphrey: Ugh... where am I? my head hurts.. He'd turn his head and see that he was laying on a bed... As he got up a sound had disturbed him, It must've been coming from the lounge room, Humphrey was foolish in fist fighting, As he peaked his head over the corner, he'd...
