POV: Humphrey

Couple of years went kwa and I still got no contracts in the mail. I'm now at the age of 21 and the mwaka is 2000. On Friday February 13th just one zaidi week until NASCAR's most prestigious race the Daytona 500 which my father has finally won two years ago. I was eligible to drive for someone, I called three offices from three different teams one team was " Team Penske Racing" another was "Robert Yates Racing" and the last one was "Joe Gibbs Racing" three of the best teams in NASCAR has finally agreed to let me drive for them, but it was difficult to choose. While I was looking through the contracts my father comes into my room and puts another contract inayofuata to the three I alisema "Wow another one? Who's it from this time Hendrick?" when I looked at the contract it alisema on the cover " Humphrey Earnhardt Sr. Inc." it was my fathers company he alisema "I was waiting for this moment, I was waiting for wewe to sign for our team if wewe choose that is" I was shocked at the offer then I asked what number will I be driving?" he smiled and alisema " wewe will driver your grandpa's number" he was referring my grandpa Ralph Earnhardt who which my dad got his driving from, he drove a number Chevy #8 car I got a pen and I signed my fathers contract, and I sent the other three contracts back to sender. My father was happy at my choice, he took me to his company karakana which was not to far from the house to look at the car me and my teammate will drive. My teammate was a friend of my dad's named Steve Park he signed for my dad a couple of days before and he will be driving a number 1 car. We meet Steve at the entrance, Steve alisema " hujambo guys" after we met Steve we went inside the karakana where mine and his car is located at. When I walked in I see two different cars on different sides, on one side it was a row of Yellow and black stripped #1 cars with a Pennzoil sponsor and on the other side is a row of red #8 cars with a Budweiser sponsor.

When I met Humphrey's son Humphrey Jr. I thought I was looking at the younger version of him. Whenever we got into the duka where the cars are Jr. was excited like if he wanted the 500 to come soon

Whenever I saw my car I was surprised on how good it looked I can't wait for the 500 inayofuata week
