Debate Topic 9: Is there an anime wewe figured wewe wouldn't like, but ended up being fond of after watching it?

That's easily Gatchaman Wilds for me. I watched the first episode out of curiosity and the first half made me think "Typical Japanese power ranger-like mecha anime? This won't last long." And I was scared that Sugane was going to become my most hated main character. Then it turns out he isn't the main character, the power suits aren't he focus of the anime, and it's generally a pretty enjoyable anime with an interesting uhuishaji style. Points to Gatchaman Wilds for making me change my mind in the course of a single episode.

Oh exorcist. wewe know my answer...

Fate Zero was something special. I expected the worst - Fate Stay Night ranks as one of my least inayopendelewa anime of all time, partly because it was such a great idea wasted, and partly because it was just absolutely boring. I ended up hating most of the characters, and the story was so linear and obvious that I could have guessed how it would end after watching the first episode.

Fate Zero took the gorgeous idea that failed in the original and polished it until it shined like the sun. It was a thing of beauty to see such a great story idea made even better than I could have expected. The good characters returned, the bad ones didn't (...mostly), the uhuishaji was phenomenal, the fights among the most epic I've ever seen, containing some of the most emotional scenes and incredible dialogue, and the story line took me through so many amazing twists and turns that I was constantly thrilled kwa each episode.

It was a sincere pleasure to a mistake made into such a success, and I can only hope that some of my other least inayopendelewa series get revitalized to this extent.

I suppose I should have seen this for an answer. But beleive me when I tell who, even the most hardcore mashabiki who've played the visual novel, such as myself, feel the same way. Hearing that Ufotable is taking over the uhuishaji project is like an alien coming to earth and giving us a chanzo of infinite energy. We all have our fingers crossed that the newest adaptation will erase Fate/Zero's ugly older-step brother (F/SN) from history and the minds who suffered through it.

I thought Bleach and Naruto were idiotic and I was sure I would not like them but then I gave each of them a chance. I wouldn't have watched them if it wasn't for my brothers forcing me XD It was back when I had not really known exactly what anime was. XD

I miss those days. nowadays anime for me is just like "meh. I'll see if it's any good."
