because hes so sweet and lets Bella decide on most things and values her opinon. Jacob is pushy, and Bella tells him no and then in the end he blames her for leading him on. even though she told him hes not ready and he still held her hand and stuff like that knowing she didn't want it.
Plus Edward is such a gentleman, sweet, honest, protective and i like his sense of humor. thats just my two cents. lol
