I have be an avid shabiki of Gossip Girl from its pilot episode where I clearly remember when Serena van der Woodsen stepped into the airport in tune with the “She’s Back” slogan. But lately, Gossip Girl and Serena are getting on my nerves. Why do I have such a beef with Serena’s character?

The whole concept of placing these two together has irked me since the idea was introduced. Call it the Joey and Rachel (Friends) au George and Izzie (Grey's Anatomy) effect. Just like Blair alisema in the Hurt Locket, some couples only look good on paper. These are my 5 reasons why I don't think this couple is going to work. Please note, this is JUST MY OPINION.
