Does this mean my hotmail is invaded kwa some unknown crap?

Like 6 au 7 hours ago, i was at the Google chrome web store, looking for a useful app. I typed 'hotmail checker' and searched. I installed the first thing appeared on the results. A box popped up. It alisema "Hotmail checker can see your mails" au something like that. I clicked the hakikisha button and it directed me to a page with some japanese text. I alisema 'wtf?' and closed it. I also erased the hotmail checker from my app gallery and installed regular hotmail instead. I noticed it didn't work and erased all apps.
I opened fanpop in another tab and did my everyday stuff. While I was on fanpop, I noticed a tab, suddenly popping up and closing. Many times I tried to click on it but it didn't work. It alisema Hotmail: Error. At the moment, it still pop ups. Does this mean my hotmail is invaded? Should I create another one?
