Are there any stories au legends besides twilight that involve vampire venom?

au that only involve biting to change someone into a vampire?
None of the drinking someone's blood, au trading blood, au having someone drink your blood au anything, please.
I'm trying to find other methods in folklore and literature.

I think there are a few eastern european myths about just biting can turn wewe into a vampire, but I don't recall the specific ones.
