this anime has 9 almost complete seasons and 10th season that will start airing february every season has around 48 episodes every season tells about different group of normal junior high girls who became densetsu senshi pretty cure there are girls older than junior high (oldest are from 7th season heartcatch pretty cure 17 mwaka old cure moonlight - tsukikage yuri 60 mwaka old lead cures grandma hanasaki kaoruko - cure maua, ua [she is cure from awali generation so she doesnt counts as official cure] and cure angie [movie exclusive cure who says is the very first cure in history and is few thousand years old]) the cures of every season live in different worlds so they never meet each other except in the all stars movie series where all cures meets and they have an adventure all together the picture below is from the last movie where all the cures are from the very first season futari wa pretty cure to the latest season smile pretty cure
and the best thing (my opinion) is the wiki (prettycure.wikia.com) the wiki uses names in japanese standart (family name before aliyopewa name) and the wiki is really good always being updated kwa many people every time new episode is released
also another good thing is that the anime never got english dub only one season very first was dubbed and cure black from misumi nagisa became natalie blackstone while cure white from yukishiro honoka became hannah whitehouse luckily no other season was dubbed there are plans to dub the 5th season yes pretty cure 5 the names would be lynn instead of rin erica instead of urara kimberly instead of komachi and priscilla (stupid name) instead of nozomi
