I think it's sort of like wordplay. wewe know how some people get nosebleeds if it's really hot out? Well, maybe boys/men get nosebleeds in anime because they see someone hot. Hot and hot, get it?

I hate explaining this, but to summarize it: It symbolizes blood flow to another certain area......

I guess it would be that when a guy see's someone attractive, their body temp increases which is natural I would say :P Then that causes nosebleeds as heat normally would.

Girls get nosebleeds to but it's the same concept (It usually happens in Yuri shows/situations though if it's a girl getting one). Anyways, a nosebleed is just a humorous way of saying "[He/She/It/They/That's] SOOOOO cute!!"
