why HP better than T

cassie-1-2-3 They could have just got a new shipment of books because they sold so rapidly. Who knows. The Twilight books cost less because they're paperback and the Harry Potter book is hard cover.

ClaireVoyant ah, when i said Bazaar, I mean the bookstore take out the unsold(spell?)books and sold it with cheaper prize (this time it's 50% discount >w<). they do it once a month or bi-monthly. the non-discount price for Hp(hardcover, yes) Rp,350.000= $43,75 the non-discount price for T (paperback, both T and NM are same price) Rp,65.000= $8,125

cassie-1-2-3 Still, you're not aware of every circumstance. There looks to be about 80 Twilight books in the photo. How do you know for a fact that the store didn't order 100 more Twilight books than Harry Potter books? Do you know how long ago the shipments arrived, and how many books were shipped?

ClaireVoyant I know someone will try to get technical about this (is that what i got to use lame resort/excuse like some twihard?) if you REALLY want to know I can ask them. it's the biggest bookstore in my region. and i come often and i befriend a dude who work there. but honestly you can see that they tend to sell famous/favorite book in higher price compare to others. because I know even with hardcover, the difference shouldn't be that big in production cost wise.but people still buy even with price that high. compare to T who I KNOW when my friend buy it,they are about Rp, 85,000 but now reduce to only Rp,65.000 (and with 50% discount it's only as expensive as new teen magz) both still in more or less same condition. if it's new shipment they wouldn't put it there. they would put it in the new books area.

cassie-1-2-3 I didn't ask if it was a new shipment, I asked if it was a large shipment. I really don't care when or how many books were shipped. I'm just choosing to look at it from a different angle. I don't know what you mean by the twihard excuse statement. I can't even comprehend the sentence, but I'm not making excuses for anything. I'm only being open minded and not making assumptions on sales history simply based on the number of books on sale. Things go on sale for many reasons. Yes, it could be lack of interest, but it could also be overstalk. Somebody accidentally ordered or shipped too much, or someone became overzealous while making the orders. Who knows, ask if you want, but I don't care. I'm not concerned about the price. They're both discounted in the end.

ClaireVoyant sorry about the twihard word, i just think (like i state above) that this picture is just a lame thing to put here to begin with. as lame as when people use excuse like "edward is HOT, fu*k grammar! you just jealous" in argument. it's not mean to be taken too seriously <(=___=;) looking from every angle of possibilities and all that. who know what happen in other book store anyway. if you don't want the answer than what's the point of asking... never-mind that...

ClaireVoyant well, if national popularity/sales history is what you want I can get it for you too. not available in English tough.and yes Harry potter are more widely known/highest selling for foreign book. still, people opinion may vary in the end. besides I can only speak for what happening in my country. Romance based story like T have never been taken too serious compare to other books with sci-fi/fantasy/religious theme(people tend to think it's only for teenage girl). Ah... I better stop typing now, i started to sound too judging now.
