I'd like to take the friendship of mine's and a man further, although I'm afraid he'll respond negatively. How should I act?

A couple of years now I've felt romantic sentiments towards a man I've encountered once in public (as of now), and the rest of our post interaction has occurred via barua pepe (since he lives across the country which adds to the unpracticality). We've shared chats, but his intentions seem vague.

He's 54, and I'm turning 19 in a few months. I know it sounds ridiculous, and unpractical but I can't help it. Please snye, au rude replies. I'd appreciate one that's endearing, even if it's one I wouldn't prefer to read. And also which can empathise with me. Thank you. :)
