"Love is all wewe need" This Is what some people say, but I think upendo is overrated. When wewe fall in upendo wewe only leave your moyo opened for the hurt that is sure to come. When someone tells wewe they "Love you" do they real mean it, or, are they just saying that? What is Love, other then a four letter word? How do wewe relay know when your in love? upendo sucks, it is pointless. All those fairy tails about finding your 'true love' and stuff like that will never happen. Maybe it might, i don't know. Jenny was so happy about the house they had found. For once in her life that was on the right side of town. She unpacked her things with such great ease. As she watched her new curtains blow in the breeze. How wonderful it was to have her own room. School would be starting, she would have Marafiki over soon. There will be sleep-overs, and parties. She was so happy. It's just the way she wanted her life to be.

808's & Heartbreak

Today all I can feel is heartbreak and the beat of the 808 drum calling time on my relationship. She was amazing: smart, caring, sweet, funny loving, beautiful and I have almost Lost her. She's a thousand miles away. Each dakika that tics kwa without an answer is another blow to me. This pain has no prospect of relief. Comfort from Marafiki and muziki is brief. It's getting darker.
Brief moments of happiness cannot be worth the pain right now. The problem is I saw this coming but could't prepare for it.

And now I am eking out my days, taunting myself with the uchungu, chungu and entirely useless consolation that I was right.

Who needs upendo if this is the outcome?
