Eventually the sun went down, but Skipper and Private were still asleep. It wasn't long after that when Skipper woke.
S: "Private?"
Private suddenly awoke and yawned.
S: "Private, wewe need to go."
P: "Why? wewe won't hurt me."
S: "I think wewe should stay away from me ... just until Kowalski comes up with a cure."
P: "Skipper, I can't .."
S: "We don't have a choice."
P: "Yes, we do."
S: "What do wewe mean?"
P: "Skipper, bite me."
S: "No, Private. wewe need to go. It's clear I've done enough kwa putting those thoughts in your head."
P: "But wewe didn't!"
S: "Then who did?"
P: "I had a dream it happened."
Skipper stopped.

P: "You bit me on my neck."
Skipper without hesitation checked both sides of Private's neck. There was no bite mark.
P: "Please, Skipper!
S: "I didn't save from that mbwa mwitu that night for wewe to die kwa the same fate a few days later. Do wewe know how much pain I suffered while being torn up kwa that wolf. He ripped open my gut and finally my throat. I prayed a moyo attack would take me before he did."
P: "Oh, dear,"
S: "I'm not going to put wewe through that. Also there's the chance once I bit wewe a would loose control and ... if that did happen wewe won't come back as a lycan. To put wewe in that risk to be with wewe forever would be despicable. That's one chance I'm not taking."
P: "Okay, b-but I'm not moving until wewe are okay with changing me."
S: "Alright, turns out, wewe don't have to."
P: "What?"
With that Skipper scooped Private up into his mouth.
P: "No, Skipper! Put me down now! I don't want to leave!"
S: "Private, I'm sorry."
P: "Why are wewe sorry? wewe saved my life, with no regard for your own safety. Skipper, you're my hero. No condition can change that au get between us. Even if Kowalski doesn't find a cure you'll always be a part of me. You're in my heart."
Skipper murmered.
S: "I upendo you, son."

Skipper gently laid Private on his back.
P: "I never noticed how soft your fur, manyoya is."
S: "That's one postive thought, but I'd trade this hide for feathers any day."
P: "True, being a penguin, auk rocks."
S: "You're right."
They made their way to the zoo. Quickly passing kwa the habitats Julien came from around a corner with Mariuce and Mort.
J: "Ahh! The wolf! He's back for us, now! Mort distract him kwa being eaten! wewe too Maurice!"
P: "He's not going to hurt you!"
S: "And what do wewe mean 'back for you'?"
Ma: "A mbwa mwitu just carried off with Kowalski and Rico!"
S: "Oh no!"
Skipper leaped onto their H.Q. and rushed in. It was a diaster. Feathers were scattered all over the floor, and muddy paw prints led out the door. Skipper sighed and smiled a bit at how courageous Private was.

Together they were ready to face Micha as a team.
