This morning, I take my time to get myself prepared. I mope out of bed, and munch on some fish, that were set on the table. The sun hasn't even risen yet. "It couldn't hurt to get a little zaidi sleep." I think.
As soon as I cover myself up with the sheets. My mother notices and folds her flippers across her chest in disappointment.
"Skipper, I know, you're not used to getting up this early and we were both up late, but please, just do this for me."
"I don't wanna go to school! Can't wewe tell them, I don't feel well?"
"Come on, Skipper, wewe can't be late on your first day. You're going to make a lot of new friends." She reasons with me. I can't debate with that.
I moan. Wearily, I step out of bed. I splash my face with water, and head to school.
When we get to school, she shows me where to go.
"Relax, it's going to be fun. Bye, Skipper. I upendo you. Have a great day." She says, kissing my cheek. A crowd of boys from my class point and laugh.
"I upendo you, too. Uh, mom, you're kinda embarrassing me, though."
"Oh right! Bye." She leaves and I'm alone. Getting ready to introduce myself, I waddle over to the other boys.
"Hi, I'm-" They leave, like I am invisible. On the other side of the school yard, they are flirting with the girls.
There's only two penguins that don't abide to the pattern. Another guy penguin, auk is talking to a astonishingly beautiful girl, who is smiling but rolling her eyes. She notices my gaze, and waves. I return the polite gesture. I waddle over.
"Hey, I'm Deliah!" She smiles.
"H-h-hi, I'm Sk-Skipper."
"Hi, Sk-Skipper! I'm Allen!" The other penguin, auk says, and shakes my flipper.
"So, where wewe from, Skipper?" She asks casually.
"Uh .... the northern colony." I bluff.
"Oh, I've it's pretty interesting there." She says.
"Interesting?" I ponder.
"You know, how close it is to muhuri terf." She explains.
"Oh yeah, totally."
"I wouldn't waste your time on him, Deliah. He probably isn't even from the northern rookery." The guy says glumly.
"No, I am. I've even got scars to prove it." I prove. It pains me, but I reveal the bruises that shame me.
"Ha! He's got a flat head!" Allan chuckles, uncontrolably.
"At least he's not crazy. Unlike you." Deliah defends me.
"Crazy?! I was crazy once! I was so crazy, they put me in a rubber room. Rubber room?! I hated that rubber room! I was soo crazy, that they buried me in a box of krill! Krill?! I hate krill! They make me crazy! Crazy?! I was crazy once! I was so crazy-" Allan rants, I guess.
"We got it," I interupt. If I didn't, he probably would have kept ranting.
"See what I mean?" She giggles.
"Yeah," I chuckle back.
Out of nowhere a kengele chimes. Everyone rushes into the same building.
"What does that kengele mean?" I ask.
"Don't they have school, where wewe come from? That means the first class is starting." She explains.
"Uh ..... yeah, but there's no bell." I lie.
"I think we're in the same class." She says.
"Cool! I mean, that's neat." I say, trying to keep sounding cool.
"Well, see wewe in class."
"See wewe later. In class, I mean."
We head into the classroom, and of course, I just have to stand in front and introduce myself.
"Class, we have a new student, and his name is Skipper. Come on, and introduce yourself, Skipper. They won't bite." The teacher smiles.
"Hi, I'm Skipper."
After the most boring siku of class yet, the teacher, Ms. Snow, had John, one of my new classmates, onyesha me around. At recess, he leads me to the big group of boys.
"These are the maarufu penguins. A.k.a my group of friends."
Then we head over to Deliah and Allan.
"And, this is your group of uh ... friends: the losers."
"Waddle off, John!" Deliah says. Just when he is about to leave I catch up to him.
"Wait! What can I do to be maarufu like you?" I beg.
"You can't be serious?!" She crys.
"There is one, and I mean, one thing wewe could do." He answers.
"Really?! What?!"
"I seemed to have dropped my lunchbox on the reef's bottom over there, but wewe have to get it tied up."
"Deal,"
"Hold on, they gotta see this!"
He jogs off to get his crew.
"This is going to be great! I'm gonna be so popular!" I exclaim.
"You really want to be one of those jerks? After what he called us, especially. How could wewe do that to us, to me? I stook up for." Deliah asks, hurt.
"Deliah, wait, please," I plead.
"Save it, for the maarufu girls!" She ignores me.
"I'm sorry, okay!"
"Come on, let's go. He's just like everyone else." Allan shuns.
The crowd waddles up. The rope is tied around my waist. A wave of remorse caves in on me.
"Wait, I can't do this. I'm abandoning two great friends: my best friends. I just realized being maarufu doesn't mean anything if wewe don't have a true friend. I'm not going in." I admit. She runs to me with a forgiving hug.
"Too late," John says, and shoves me in.
"Skipper!" She yells.
"He'll be fine," Allan reassures her.
It seems like just to spite him, a dorsel fin emerges from the water.
"Shark!" The crowd screeches, and hustles off in terror. In the process of running for his life, John drops his end of the rope. I am on my own now.
Private woke up that morning feeling sluggish. His stomach was moaning like an iriated beast.
S: "Good morning, Private!"
P: "Good morning, Skippah."
S: "You hungry?"
P: "Yes, extremely, actually."
S: "Good! Cause we're going fishing!"
P: "Wait, did wewe say we are going fishing?"
S: "You heard me, we are going fishing."
P: "Yay!"
S: "You have to learn sometime. Besides, you've earned it!"

The two njiwa into the icy water. Little did they know their scent was caught kwa two blood-thristy predators. Skipper led Private cautiously towards a colossal school of fish. Skipper motioned to Private to open his...

Skipper woke up late that morning. He waddled to the sleeping Private. A smile came across his face as he stroked Private's head with his gentle flipper. Private opened his eyes sluggishly.
P: "Good morning, Skippah."
S: "Good morning, did wewe sleep well last night?"
P: "Yes, I did. Did you?"
S: "Yeah, wewe want to see the colony today?"
P: "Okay!"
S: "I'm going to get breakfast. Remember all the rules."
P: "Can I come?"
S: "No, not yet. I don't think you're ready now."
P: "I've fished in the pond at nyumbani before."
S: "Yes, but there aren't those carnivorious beast there."
P: "I can handle it. Believe me....

Private: ACHOO! *sniffle*

Private sits tiredly on the table, as Kowalski probes around Private with thermometers, stethoscopes, and a tape measure.

Kowalski: According to my calculations, it seems that Private has become sick with some sort of virus.
Private: Ah.. Ah.. ACHOO!
Kowalski: Eh, and a very sickly one, I might add.
Rico: Eww.
Skipper: Well, nothing a little sleep and some chai can't cure!
Private: But Skipper, I feel like my head weighs a thousand tons! Don't wewe have any-
Skipper: Wait, wewe alisema your head feels heavy? Do wewe happen to be sneezing uncontrollably and feeling faint every...

Sorry it took me so long to update! This was a difficult chapter to write, but I’m pleased with the final product. I hope wewe enjoy it and, yes, not all the characters are going to survive this. Just wanted to make that clear.

Hopeless Situations

“Um, excuse me, Dr. Blowhole?” Private said, “I-I’m still stuck here!”
“Oh, I know, Private,” he responded, “I know.”
“Hey, let the private go, Blowhole!” Skipper ordered.
The dolphin bowed mockingly, “Your wish is my command, Skipper!” At that moment, the floor began to tremble. The penguins hit the floor, and Kowalski...

New Transfer
It was early in the morning when I was getting the team ready for today's schedule. They were all there except for Kowalski. I had aliyopewa Kowalski orders to go and see what all the commotion was about in Alice's office last night. I was almost done telling everybody everything for today, when Kowalski jumping into the H.Q. "Speak man." I commanded him. He was out of breath and looked excited and worried, which was making me anxious. "We are getting a new transfer." Kowalski alisema when he caught his breath. "New transfer!" I exclaimed. "Tell us more" Private alisema anxiously. "Well..."...

Silence....that's all I could hear in that tiny room. The smell was overwhelming, probably because of Rico's corpse, I could tell that we were all losing it, I couldn't tell how long Kowalski was going to last anymore.

Private: skipper....I miss Rico...

I looked over at private to try and comfort him, but I could tell between his reared eyes, that he wanted to get out of here, away from it all.

Skipper:I know wewe do private, we all do....but there's nothing we can do to bring him back

Huh.....it's funny.....I'll never see Rico again...never see his crazy ideas when we go on a mission, never to...
