My wife, Tere, and I purchased a new car in December. Even though we had tickets to fly from California to Houston to visit her family for Christmas, we decided to drive to Texas to break in the new car. We packed the car and took off for a wonderful week with Grandma.

For all those who don't understand why people cut, this is for you. I get it. I completely understand. When you're depressed, wewe need an outlet. You're so empty and numb that wewe need to feel something, and since wewe refuse to feel happy, wewe cut yourself to feel pain. That sounds completely wrong, but, who knows? Maybe it really works. It becomes an addiction. wewe can't go with out feeling that pain. And everytime, wewe have to cut deeper and deeper to feel the same way. Feel the way that wewe strive for. Just feel anything. Soon enough, everything around wewe becomes a weapon of self-destruction....
