There were/are good rappers and rap groups, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Tupac, The Notorious B.I.G., Arrested Development, The Sugarhill Gang, House of Pain, Fort Minor, The Beastie Boys, Outkast, Atmosphere, Jurassic 5, Jay Z, Kendrick Lamar, Tech N9ne, Macklemore, Hopsin, Iggy Azalea, Three 6 Mafia, B.o.B., Schoolboy Q, just to name some. I do think that rap isn't as good as it used to be though, much of it is just about sex, money, and partying and many of them use so much autotune that it doesn't even sound good.

Rap is the reason the music industry is still going strong and rappers are making millions of dollars off there albums that get released with fans buying them.
@KataraLover: What would your punk ass know about music like this anyway?
I don't see you being famous with money on you and having everything, at least there are reasons Rap is one of the best genres of today unlike the rest of the industry that makes shit music that doesn't have any meaning.

Most rap promotes rape, drug use, gun's, killing, disrespect for women and sex. Sadly it's brainwashing the young minds of today...but don't get me wrong, there are a few good rapper's out there too, it's just not my cup of tea to be honest. :3
