Of course I couldn't concentrate in gym. One: There's no point in concentrating when wewe know you're gonna fall flat on your face, and two: My mind was still buzzing.
Which I still didn't quite understand. My mind didn't usually react like that. I mean, our school may be small, but we didn't lack in cute guys. Trust me. I know. But, I also hadn't dated any of them... which may be why I don't know much on the subject.
I changed back into my normal outfit, and rushed to sekunde period, zipping in the door as the final kengele rang, and taking a kiti, kiti cha just as Mr. Hank, my Calc teacher, walked inside. He silently went up to the board, and began copying something random, as I zoned out, staring at the wall.
He must have eventually noticed me paying no mind to the board, so he slapped his binder against my desk, waking me from my daze.
"Now, Miss Reyes, I understand why wewe would be daydreaming at this moment in time, but wewe need to copy this down," he demanded. I nodded at him, and pulled out my notebook and began writing.
Mr. Hank then spent the rest of the period giving a lecture on... wewe know what, I don't remember. That won't be helpful on the test tomorrow.
I raced to third period, making it to class early for the first time in... well, actually, the first time ever. But, it was History, the last class I wanted to be in right now. I sat down in a dawati as far back as possible, so maybe Mr. Janell wouldn't notice me spacing out. I sat there, uandishi a poem, until the final kengele rang. I set my journal aside, and tried my best to keep my mind from going blank. But, as Mr. Janell was about to begin speaking, the door creaked open, and everyone directed their attention to the back of the room. Who I saw at the door made my moyo literally jump out of my chest and fly to France.
Alejandro.
It was fairly obvious, seeing as almost every girl in the class was making googly-eyes at him. I almost did, but I did my best to hide it.
Here we go again.
Mr. Janell looked up at him, and immediately realized why he was here. "Ah, yes, Mr..." he began, but his brows furrowed in thought, evidently forgetting the name he was told earlier. Well, I could understand that. He's probably getting zaidi than one new student today.
"Burromuerto. Alejandro Burromuerto," he replied. I pursed my lips, trying not to laugh. I already took Spanish. He must know what his last name means, right?!?!
"Right. Take a kiti, kiti cha anywhere," Mr. Janell requested. Alejandro sat down in the kiti, kiti cha inayofuata to me. I looked at him, and suddenly forgot how to breathe.
Aww, crap, what am I gonna do now?!?!
